Trifextra – Just One More Thing…

There are three very important things to remember when you’reΒ  used to being invulnerable:
1) Stay away from unidentified rocks
2) Stay AWAY from unidentified rocks
3) STAY AWAY FROM UNIDENTIFIED ROCKS!

  1. I’m going to see the Superman movie tomorrow; if this is the allusion I think it is, it’s extremely appropriate. πŸ˜€ Of course, staying away from unidentified rocks is hard to do when one is, say, Clark Kent on the TV show Smallville. They had “meteor rocks” all over the place. Like daisies. Green, red, silver, blue, gold….I think there was even a one-episode “gemstone kryptonite” that made him paranoid or something. Should’ve definitely stayed away from that one.

    1. Your Allusion Recognition Software is as usual spot on πŸ˜€
and in turn I like your Mulan quote πŸ˜‰ well you know what the answer is in that case – move somewhere less prone to inconvenient meteor showers! Somewhere like the South West of England. We hardly ever get anything interesting like meteors. Yes, definitely, that’s the solution…. Wink wink. Lol

    2. Ps I hope you enjoy the film πŸ™‚ and could I beg a request if it’s not too cheeky of me?? You’re good at film reviews…. Please please please could you do one for that?

      1. I think I could oblige. I mean, hey, it’s Superman. One of my favorite heroes, short of Batman, The Question, Iron Man, Wonder Woman…but still, you gotta love Big Blue. A review will definitely be forthcoming. πŸ˜€
Also, points for recognizing the obscure Mulan quote. And I admit, we don’t get much interesting like meteors living in southern Indiana either. What we mostly get is allergies. Sigh.

      2. Yay! Thank you! πŸ™‚ ah yes, allergies. Me too. That’s something Superman never seems to have trouble with. Except for certain rock of course, I suppose that counts as an allergy??

    1. Thank you πŸ™‚ glad you liked it, I enjoyed writing it! As usual I felt I could have been even funnier without the word limit, but I suppose it’s training me in the art of the one-liner!

  2. Without Michael’s Superman backgrounder, I admit that I would have been screwed on this one! I grew up on the east coast of Canada and immediately thought of lighthouses and ships. However, I think I would have, eventually, brought myself around to the idea of respecting those things which cause us to be most vulnerable which is, I believe, the point of your piece. I appreciate having to think about what I read and I mean that as a sincere compliment.

    1. Wow Tom…. Thank you for that very deep comment! I’m glad it made you think – and the wonderful thing about writing is that things can have so many hidden meanings as well as the obvious. πŸ™‚ thank you for reading and telling me your thoughts.

  3. Okay, I had to read the first comment because the mulan reference was bugging me. I get it “like daisies”. Back to your Trifextra, it was certainly a unique one and enjoyable.
